The ND Agency // Freelance Mentorship // For you

A twelve-week mentorship whose product is your first invoice.

You are 18 to 23, done with school, at home and not yet earning, and there is something you will do for hours.

Ask Bryce a question

The young adult in green coming in through the door, a bag on their shoulder, a lit laptop waiting at the nearest desk. There is a page for your parents too The page for your parents

The room opens on 10 November 2026. After that, people start one at a time, all year. At most six trainee freelancers are in the room at once.

Where you are now

Very good at one thing

Video, code, drawing, sound. You have years in it.

You at a desk at home, the screen lit. The wall above the desk is covered with sheets of your own work, pinned up in rows.

Or steady and exact

Lists, sorting, checking. You get every entry right.

You at a desk at home, the screen lit with a grid of even rows. On the wall above the desk, one tall sheet of even rows is pinned up.

Lost track of time. Again.

Once you start, the clock stops registering.

The same desk at night: stars in the window, the screen still lit, you still at it.

You need to be able to read, and you need your own computer. Matric is not needed.

What Freelance Mentorship is

You come in three mornings a week, four hours each. You have a desk. The work at the desk is turning the thing you are already good at into something a stranger pays for. Here you are a trainee freelancer. The clients, the invoices and the bank account are yours.

The Salt River room, head-on, in four parts: the front door standing open; Bryce at his own desk; you at a desk under a board of task cards in order, the first three taken down and shown as outlines; two others at a shared desk.

There is a mentor

Bryce has done this on Upwork and other platforms, and works in the room. He does not find clients for you. He shows you where he found his, what he wrote and what he charged. He also helps you pick a niche from what you already like, and points you to online courses he trusts.

Two desks side by side, screens lit: the mentor in white with an orange lanyard at the left desk, the young adult in green at the right, a board of orange notes above the mentor.

There is a kit

A sequence of small tasks, one at a time. Name the skill. Write it in three sentences. Price one job. Set up one platform. Send ten proposals. Deliver one thing. Send one invoice. Then do it again.

A desk with one sheet standing on it, a pencil, and two hands at the page; above it a track of five stops with the second one orange.

There are others

Others your age, on the same days, doing the same thing.

Three desks in a row, three screens lit, three people from behind; the one in the middle in green.

What you do now. What a client pays for.

Forty-two kinds of paid work, on Upwork, Fiverr and other platforms. Find the line that is you.

One room, head-on, with empty wall in the middle. On the left, you at a desk at home under a wall of your own sheets, one of them orange. On the right, another person at a second desk, the same orange sheet on their screen and a bill pinned up beside it.

If your thing is not on the list, working out where it fits is the first task.

The same shape every morning: 45 minutes of setup with everyone, one task at your desk, and two lines before you leave.

The twelve weeks

  1. Weeks 1 to 4

The skill, written down and priced

    You and Bryce

In the Salt River room, you work at the desk with Bryce on a chair pulled up beside you. One sheet is pinned on the board, with a price tag hanging from it.
  2. Weeks 5 to 8

The first job: found, done, invoiced

    You and Bryce

In the Salt River room, you work at the desk with Bryce on a chair pulled up beside you. One bill is pinned on the board.
  3. Weeks 9 to 12

    The second job

You, with Bryce less in it

The same desk. You work alone; the chair Bryce pulled up is an outline only. Two bills are pinned on the board.

Twelve weeks. Up to two more at no cost if your second invoice has not gone out by then.

Second invoice: the aim
Their part

Your parents

They have their own page. It covers the two meetings they are asked to, and the payment.

The page for your parents →

The same desk, now simply yours. You stand at the board and pin up a third bill beside the first two.
After the twelve weeks

A desk in the same building.

On your own account, on the same terms as everyone else. Not a graduation, and nobody hands you clients. The same desk, the same door, and the invoices are yours.

The front of the building on a weekday morning. The front door stands open with the light on inside. You, a bag in one hand, are arriving.

Ask a question, or leave your email.

Ask Bryce a question

You do not have to explain anything. “Tell me more” is enough.

Bryce replies by email within two working days. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Or leave your email only

You get one email, when Freelance Mentorship opens on 10 November 2026. Nothing is booked, paid or signed.
